As promised in the Cousin Eddie recap post, here is the margarita recipe I told y’all about! This recipe makes a large quantity so it’s great for a party!
I call it A Very “Mary” Berry Margarita. But outside of the context of Christmas Vacation, we can call it a Merry Berry Margarita! 🙂
What you’ll need:
1 2-liter bottle of Sprite or Sprite Zero
1 64 oz. bottle of Cranberry Pomegranate juice
4 cups of clear tequila
2 cans of frozen limeade concentrate
4 cans of light beer
What you’ll do:
Pour the juice and the two cans of lime concentrate into a large urn. Dissolve the lime concentrate into the juice. Add the tequila, then the Sprite and the beer. Mix and enjoy!
Pointers:
To keep the drink cold for as long as possible, I had the tequila in the freezer and the Sprite and juice refrigerated just before mixing so they were all super cold. I also poured a little of the Sprite and juice into small cups and froze them, making large “ice” cubes. That way, I was able to use the frozen mixture as ice without diluting the drink as the night went on. It stayed cold for pretty much our whole party!
