Baby Faves

As a mama of an almost-9-month-old with another one on the way, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what my baby faves and must haves are!

Whether our new little one is a boy or a girl, there are several things that I know I can go ahead and start scoping out — things that we’ll definitely need two of once new little person arrives!

This list is of my favorite things Price and I have used as parents. These things either make life easier, make the baby happier, or… make life easier… 😉

(1) WUBBA NUBS. These darling little pacifiers with animals attached to the end have been THE biggest lifesavers for us! Wilson LOVES his wubbas (as do most babies I know who take a paci) so these are a MUST to have on hand for our next bebe!

There are tons of different animal options, most of which are just super cute!

(2) ELASTIC SHOES. This type of shoe is the way to go for us… Now that Wilson moves around (a lot), putting shoes on that require laces being tied are a thing of the past. These little boogers slip right on, are super cute, and actually stay on! The adorable black and white pair above is from rOw^10! I also just got this pair for Wilson for fall… He is so excited to wear them…! 😉

(3) IKEA SNIGLAR CRIB. This bad boy has been such a great purchase! It’s extremely inexpensive (under $100!), is made of unstained/unpainted wood (which is a huge bonus if your child chews on the crib like ours does when teething.) It gets great reviews and I love how it looks. I actually love most of the Ikea cribs because they’re just super simple. The price tag helps make them more attractive too! 😉

(4) MUSLIN SWADDLE BLANKETS. Although I can reuse the ones we got for Wilson, I’ve been eyeing these from rOw^10 ever since I first saw them! Swaddle blankets were our best friend for the first 3 or 4 months. We’d use them to swaddle Wilson (obviously), but we also used them as stroller and car seat blankets. They’re just the perfect weight to keep those little baby toes warm without making them too hot!

(5) FRANKIE THE FOX. My brother and sis-in-law told me about their animal noise maker so we got one for W. I cannot tell you how much he LOVES this thing! It makes 4 different sounds (which cut off after 23 or 46 minutes– you can set that), so we always put W down with one of the outdoor sounds to go to sleep. Knocks him right out!

(6) GIGI DIAPER BAG. Although this Jessica Zipper Tote isn’t technically a diaper bag, it’s definitely roomy enough to keep up with everything you need, it looks great (I’ll for sure be using it as a purse long after the days of diaper bags pass), and it’s made by busy moms so they material is easily cleanable! I LOVE Wilson’s diaper bag so much and definitely plan on getting another stylish/functional-even-when-baby-grows-up bag for the new kid of the house. You can special order from multiple colors through Arco Avenue!

(7) DIAPER GENIE. I actually heard very mixed reviews on the Diaper Genie before we ended up getting one, but y’all. I love this thing. I don’t really know why anyone wouldn’t? It’s cheap, easy to operate, and does an incredible job of masking baby poop smell. This is a #1 must in the new nursery! Without question!
