Bathroom Gallery Wall

Y’all might remember me mentioning here that I was working on a little gallery wall of sorts in one of our bathrooms! Well, today I wanted to share where I am so far! 🙂 Although I’m pretty happy with it currently, I know myself well enough to know that I’ll be tweaking it soon… 🙂  (If you happen to remember the bookshelves I posted about here, well… I redid them over the weekend! They look much better so I plan to post about that soon!)

I do think that gallery walls should feel collected rather than forced, so now that I have something to start with, I can begin collecting pieces I love to go amongst (or even replace!) some of these pieces.

I think my favorite thing about this current wall is that pretty much every piece has meaning! I’ll share about a few of my favorites 🙂

The painted sticks in the shadow box with the black frame came from New Orleans on an anniversary trip Price and I took several years ago. We stumbled into a little gallery in the quarter and both fell in love with them, so now they’re a permanent reminder of that fun little trip!

The stamped nativity scene was a gift from my aunt when we got married! I love my aunt – she’s the coolest! – so it’s nice to think about her each time I see that! 🙂

The bouquet of flowers painting was one I picked up at one of the random little art booths set up on the side of the river in Paris. Before I took my first Paris trip, one of my coworkers gave me a great piece of advice: “BUT ART. The original art at the street vendors’ booths is usually cheap and really good.” She was right! I bought five pieces, all of which happily live on walls in our home!

The two photos are ones I took while I lived in England after graduating college. The yellow flower as taken at a botanical garden in Oxford, England and the black and white boat picture was taken in Bath, England! I have the best memories of that time overseas with my friend Lindsey, and those photos remind me of the incredible memories we made! (We were together in Paris when I bought all that art, too!)

The piece in the thick gold frame was a gift from my mama, so it’s extra special 🙂

If/when I update this wall, I’ll be sure to post about it! And I can’t wait to share about the aforementioned newly redone bookshelves!

Thank y’all so so much for stopping by today. It means the world! Y’all have a great day! xo!
