Beauty Products Every 30-something Should Have

Y’all! How was your weekend? I hope it was wonderful! Ours was so nice and relaxing. We were originally going to go camping this weekend, but the rain and cold made us rethink that decision and stick closer to the house instead! I gotta say the highlight of my weekend was going to see La La Land Saturday night. IT WAS AMAZING! I loved every single second of it (not sure I can say the same for Price… it’s definitely a girl movie!) and I’m still thinking about it and singing the songs! The music was especially beautiful!

So speaking of beautiful… Let’s talk about beauty stuff! (Like my segue here?)

I do not consider myself to be a beauty expert by any means, but I can tell when something works really well! 😉 I’ve come across several products lately that I absolutely LOVE, so I thought they were worth sharing!

BEAUTYCOUNTER BALANCING OIL (FORMERLY KNOWN AS LUSTRO FACE OIL #3)

I got turned on to BeautyCounter last summer by a friend of mine who is just crazy about the brand. She talked me into getting a couple of things and I’ve truly loved everything I tried, but this face oil has got to be my favorite BeautyCounter product I’ve tried! I take three drops of this and rub it on my face wrinkles every night (ok, almost every night) before bed (after washing my face with these) and I truly feel like it has changed the quality of my skin! After several months of use, I’ve noticed that my wrinkles are less noticeable. Plus my skin is just softer and smoother! It’s been some good stuff. AND it’s very economical. I’m still on my first container of it, which I bought back in like August! (Since the time I bought mine, BeautyCounter has revamped some product labeling, so the packaging no longer has the 3 on it, but it’s still the same thing!)

If you’d like the contact info for a BeautyCounter rep so you can place an order, let me know! I can put you in touch with somebody good! 🙂

MARC JACOBS HIGHLINER

This is by far the best eyeliner I’ve EVER used. And eyeliner was the third makeup item I started ever wearing (behind mascara and lip gloss) back in middle school, so I’ve been through a lot of different brands over the years! It goes on so smoothly and easily and doesn’t smudge. The color I have is called Blacquer and I adore it! It is a tad pricey but it’s worth every penny. If you’re an eyeliner gal, do yourself a favor and check it out!

RODAN + FIELDS LASHBOOST

I got some of this for Christmas, started using it around the first of the year, and DANG. This stuff works!! After two solid months of use, I can say that my lashes are definitely longer than they’ve ever been! It’s a great feeling! My lashes look so much fuller, especially with mascara (this is my fave!) so I’m pretty sure I’ll continue the use of this stuff. One great thing about it that not all lash boosters can claim is that it doesn’t change your eye color! My nondescript eye color is still as equally nondescript as it was at Christmas! 😉

I’m sure you all know a handful of R+F friends you can contact to get some of this miraculous gel! 😉 But if you need the name of someone to get in touch with, I can help ya!

HONEST BEAUTY EYE SHADOW TRIO IN SABLE

This lovely little trio comes in several color ways, but the trio I’ve found myself totally in love with (I think I reach for it practically every morning) is the Sable trio! The colors are warm, easy to use, and flattering! I think they’d be beautiful on just about any skin tone! You can’t mess these colors up! 🙂

It’s seriously a game changer! I actually like this stuff better than lash extensions, which I got there for a little while! I HIGHLY recommend this! (from another girl with naturally very stubby lashes!)

Loved this Laurel. Thanks for the tips- I was especially glad to hear your take on R+F lash boost- just from someone that doesn’t sell it.
