Dream Living

I’ve  been doing a lot of online shopping lately (since it’s the season to do that sort of thing) and came across Arhaus, which left me feeling totally inspired!  I started thinking about pieces that I could use now, but that could one day be used in my dream living room! Then I started thinking, what would my dream living room look like? Although this sounds like a very easy thing to pinpoint, I actually had such a hard time nailing down a certain style that I most love! After looking back through my interiors Pinterest board, I was finally able to zero on a style that really speaks to me. I pulled a bunch of pictures with some common threads and am actually just now figuring out my “dream style!”

These photos all speak to me and fall under what I would say my dream style is: Scandinavian meets moroccan. But neutral. With maybe a pop of color. Not really sure that’s a style but…. haha! That’s where we’re headed!

So after looking at all of these pictures, I’ve definitely determined that I’m drawn to (besides this Kate Moss photo which seems to appear in several of the above photos!)

Simple color palettes. Black and white, and maybe a little cognac or earthy brown, seem to be the simple color palettes that draw me in the most. White walls are a must for me, and I think white sofas are just the prettiest!! Great, textural black and white rugs are perfect anchors for a cozy, monochromatic living room, in my opinion!

White painted brick.

A bright pop of color! My picks would be green or yellow! Plants are an excellent way to add a pop of green while keeping it all very natural. And if you have a brown thumb, then there are tons of beautiful faux plants on the market! Other ways to incorporate some fun color pops are through single chairs, pillows, or art!

Gallery walls. Artfully arranging beautiful art, prints, and photography is so inspiring to me! I especially like a great mixture of original art, prints, photographs, and interesting relics or tapestries. There is so much you can put into a gallery wall to make it great!

Great wood floors.

Texture! The more texture the better! I love fuzzy rugs, cool pillows, chunky throws, and even flokati or sheep skin thrown over a chair to add just that perfect pop of cozy!

Interesting pendant lighting. Pendant lights are super simple and understated, yet can make such a huge difference in a space! Arhaus has some seriously cool pendant lighting… Honestly, I think I love every single one they have available!

So there we have it! What would you say is your dream living room style? (Or are you like me and have a very hard time defining it?!)

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you are having a great week! Much love!
