As a mama of two, I find myself with a good bit less time for myself than what I’ve had in years past. And I’m totally okay with that! In many ways, I feel like it’s actually good for me! (Makes me prioritize more efficiently and more fully enjoy when I do have time to sit down and, say, paint my nails!)

One thing that has helped me save a lot of time in the getting ready department is paring down my morning face and makeup routine. On days that I go in to work, I do try to wake up a few minutes early to get more ready, so to speak. But on days that I’m running the kids around, have a meeting or two sprinkled in, and have dinner or Bible study with friends that night, I have found that simplifying my face has been very beneficial! (And good for my skin!)

I’ve recently fallen in love with a few Honest Company products that have majorly made a difference. Followed by putting in contacts and brushing my teeth, I give my face a good once over with the 3-in-1 facial towelettes. They make my skin feel so good! And as some of my closest friends know, I’ve never been very happy with the way my skin looked or felt before. So these things are a total game changer for me! I actually use these at night too when I’m too tired to wash my face. Which is preeeeetty often these days… 🙂

I then moisturize with the apricot face and body lotion. It’s ultra moisturizing and helps give me a little glow. And it smells good! I then use a little for my legs and arms, too! In the past, I’ve been scared to use something that was for face AND body (concerned that it wouldn’t be gentle enough for my face), but since it’s completely free from anything synthetic and is formulated to be gentle enough for babies, I completely trust that it’s ok for grown up face use!

After toweletting (I believe I just invented a verb) and moisturizing, I use my fave Laura Mercier products (secret camouflage SC-3 for redness/blemishes and the loose translucent powder), my all-time favorite blush (Urban Decay’s Afterglow in color Score– the prettiest pinky/peach!), and a little mascara and I feel ready to go without having spent too much time putting on a full face, but putting on enough to not frighten anyone! 😉

Complete the easy getting ready with a simple dress, like some of the ones here, and you’re totally set! 😉

This simplified routine has really allowed me to have a few extra minutes in the morning, which I’ve been using for an extended quiet time (sometimes with even a second cup of coffee! Yippee!), a little extra sleep if needed, and time to get everyone’s breakfast ready and fed to them without feeling like I need an extra set of arms!

You are so sweet! Just trying to look as pretty as you! 🙂

They are not oil free, but in no way do they leave my skin feeling oily… Just moisturized! My skin is very combination for what that’s worth?!
