Floral Drop Waist

I have a new favorite dress for Spring. And it is this one!

I mentioned to y’all a week or two ago that Long Tall Sally (one of my go-tos for tall girl clothes) has collaborated with Y.A.S. for a little mini collection for Spring and every piece is totes gorgeous. (I still drool over this leather jacket every time I look at it!)

Anyway, when I saw this dress, I was instantly in love. I love a drop waist because it makes me feel a little bit Coco Chanel, and a little bit Mary Crawley. I actually did a little research on when the drop waist was popularized and it started in the 20s (an era I love) then saw a resurgence in the 60s (an era with which I’m currently extra fascinated!)

I love the cut because it’s loose, comfortable, and so easy! And the fun, whispy floral pattern is so perfectly springy. An all around winner!

If this dress is one that you’re interested in adding to what you’ve got going on this spring, I would definitely recommend ordering a size down. It does run a hair big!

// dress from Long Tall Sally x Y. A. S. (c/o) // purse (no longer available in taupe but these colors are GORGE!) // similar booties here and here // shades (I have seriously loved these and they are $4!) // earrings, sold out but digging these from the same designer! // perfect peace necklace // coffee tumbler // wrap bracelet can be found here. Other two are from a street vendor in Spain. Similar ones here! // lipstick (color Coral) //

Lastly, if a dress is easy and comfortable enough to chase around toddlers, then it gets major points in my book! This dress completely fits the bill 🙂

I’m so excited Spring is just around the corner and nice temps will hopefully be here for a little while before we hit that blazing Mississippi summer weather! There is so much I love about Spring, but I think the things I love the most revolve around flowers, floral prints, and brighter colors! What do you most love about this upcoming season?! 🙂

Thank you so much for checking in today! Y’all are the best! XO!
