One thing I’ve learned as a parent is that kids are squirmy. And the older they get, the less they like to have their diapers changed! At least that’s the scenario over here at our house!
If you’re like me and care *almost* as much about the way a room looks (specifically a nursery) as the way it functions, then you’ve gotta take extra measures to have your room accessories safe as well as pretty!
That brings us to art over the changing table. It looks so nice to have something hanging just over that essential piece of furniture, but as kids learn to move, they learn to try and kick the art off the wall. This just won’t do! (But you gotta have that art up there! I do anyway!) 😉
Here’s my squirmiest, kicky-est kid in action!
Price had the brilliant idea to buy some of this stuff and put it all over the back of the art hanging over our changing tables and it works PERFECTLY!!! It is made to not mess up your walls, it’s cheap, and it holds really really well!
Now we have two changing tables for two squirmy babies with art that makes me happy because (a) it’s pretty and (2) it’s not going to fall on them- so I don’t have to worry!
// Lily Ryan’s room: chest of drawers (now only available in larger size but still precious!) // changing pad cover from here (currently sold out) // frames for DIY watercolors // felt ball garland // spice racks turned book shelves // blue goop 🙂 //
// Wilsons’s room: art over chest (c/o) // changing pad cover // blue goop 🙂 //
Thank y’all so much for stopping in today. I hope you find this tip helpful! It sure has saved lives around this house! 🙂 Have a great rest of the day!! XOXO!
Brills, Price! I’m getting some!
It’s been the best thing ever for us!!! I know it’ll work great for y’all too!
