Holiday Hibernation

Holiday Hibernation

With Christmas only days away, one of our favorite ways to gear ourselves up is with lots of Christmas movies!! We LOVE movies – we are actually going on a date to see one tonight! Yay! – so we use December as a great excuse to cram in as many Christmas movies as we can. Our all time favorite has got to be Christmas Vacation. For obvious reasons! 😉 A few close seconds are Elf, Home Alone (both 1 and 2!), The Holiday (well, that’s one of my tops anyway!), A Muppet Christmas Carol, The Santa Clause… Goodness there are just so many!

When watching movies at night together, we have several essentials: LOTS of pillows, a warm cup of something to sip on, some fuzzy socks or slippers, some Christmas lights on (which are especially beautiful if we are watching in the den and can see all of our lights from one spot!), and of course, a great movie!

I particularly love late night hibernation in our bedroom because our bed is just so dang comfy. Our most recent movie viewing was Elf. We let Wilson cuddle up in the bed with us after his normal bedtime because he wasn’t feeling his best, and he really seemed to like the movie! Miracle of all Christmas miracles: he sat still! Never has that ever before happened. It was really fun. I look forward to doing more of that in the years to come with both babies! 🙂

What do you do to stay warm and get in the Christmas spirit? Are y’all late night movie-watching hibernators like us!? 😉 I would love to hear!
