Home Giveaway!

Our favorite children's book: Home by Carson Ellis // www.thehiveblog.com

Did my title mislead you?! ha! No, we are not giving away our home. Or any actual home for that matter! 🙂 I AM, however, giving away a book about all types of cute homes! Two books, actually!! Keep reading to find out how to win!

I was so thrilled when Candlewick Press agreed to partner with me on a giveaway of the book Home by Carson Ellis! It is our absolute favorite right now! It has the most adorable illustrations and simple wording that is not only easy for your toddler to catch onto, but also sparks a lot of discussion! I love asking Wilson if he sees certain things, or what he thinks about some of the homes. And I love asking Lily Ryan what sounds the animals on many of the pages make! It’s a VERY fun book 🙂 And the cover is pretty enough (and not babyish looking at all) that you might even want to let it live on your coffee table!

We have grown so in love with this book that Wilson basically has it memorized. He “reads” it with me and it’s the cutest thing! Makes this mama heart proud. And I absolutely love how he says the word “babushka.” I’m including a photo of that page (and several others) to give you an idea of what the book is like!

(Wilson says he thinks this ^^ is what our home looks like! That is so funny to me, because to me, our home looks nothing like this. But this does look like a cute and whimsy setting, so I’m not gonna argue with him!)

I would love to see what Brooks thinks about all the different houses! He’s getting more into reading as he grows, which makes this mommy very happy. 😀

I want to give this to my grand babies. She will love it now, and He will when he gets a little older. But she can “read” it to him now. Also, I think their mom and dad would approve of it laying on the coffee table in the family room. I always take them a book when we visit.

I would like to add this to my collection for the grandchildren when they come to “Noonie’s” house! In addition, my curiosity of what’s inside this book has been piqued!

My 3 year old granddaughter loves books, she makes you read it over and over, then she reads it back to me, so cute because she has memorized so much of it after a few readings.
