How Bonefish Does Fall

Price and I recently had the wonderful opportunity to visit our area Bonefish Grill and experience their special fall menu firsthand! We have always been big fans of Bonefish (hello, Bang Bang Shrimp) so when we heard that they wanted to have us in to sample a seasonal menu, we were all over it!

Their fall menu is accented by wonderful flavors of pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, bourbon… You know, all the best of the fall things! We started off our experience with their two seasonal craft cocktails: the Infused Manhattan for Price and the Fresh Honeycrisp Apple Martini for me! Price loved the Manhattan because the base of it was Maker’s 46, which is one of his faves! I tasted it and it had a delightful hint of rosemary! I do love a good, unexpected herb infusion. 😉  My martini was fabulous… It had a handful of my favorite things: apple, honey, and cinnamon! So like I said, FABULOUS!

Since we are such fans of the Bang Bang Shrimp, we just had to get that as our appetizer. It’s not a trip to Bonefish without it!

After the shrimp was the entree. Now I’m generally not a huge Seafood lover, but I do like fresh fish if it’s not super fishy. (And I love shrimp when it’s fried and coated in bang bang sauce!) The fall menu item that stood out most to me was the Swordfish and Pumpkin Ravioli. I’ll admit, the pumpkin ravioli was what initially caught my eye! I asked our waitress about the swordfish and she said it was very fresh, not very fishy, and had a great texture. Sold! I loved every bite of this dish. It also didn’t hurt that the fish was topped with feta and butter (insert gritted teeth emoji.)

Price had a harder time deciding because he loves seafood! He eventually zeroed in on the Wild Snapper and Shrimp, which was finished with a chorizo “mojo” sauce. I took a bite of this and it was amazing!! The sauce wasn’t too spicy, but had a fantastic flavor that I can’t really even begin to describe. I highly encourage you to go try it, though!

After all of this, we somehow managed to make room for dessert. Of course, since their seasonal Creme Brûlée had pumpkin in it, I was totally drawn to it! The pumpkin and nutmeg in it were spectacular! And surprisingly, Price ate more of this than I did (because he usually isn’t a big pumpkin fan!)

We both surprised ourselves by trying and loving things that we wouldn’t ordinarily order, so I encourage you to make a trip to Bonefish soon and see how you can surprise yourself! Remember, all of these dishes are seasonal, so they’ll only be around a few more weeks! Time is of the essence! 😉

Huge thanks to Bonefish for so graciously hosting us. We had a fabulous time and can’t wait to get back!

And huge thanks to YOU for reading! It means the absolute world to me! I hope y’all have a fun weekend ahead. See y’all back here Monday!
