Looking A Lot Like Christmas!

Well, I’ve finally managed to get all of our Christmas decorations out! I started putting a lot of them out like a month ago… I know, I know… I’m losing friends as I speak… But I just LOVE Christmas and want to celebrate it as long as possible… So I just get a jump start! 😉

Here’s a quick little peek at some of the Christmas decor we have going on over here in Hooville!

With little kids, I’ve found that there isn’t much you can do when it comes to decorating tables they can reach. These days, the coffee table in our keeping room, where we spend most of our time as a family, stays mostly cleared off because that’s where coloring, puzzling, playing with trucks, etc. happens! (P.S. there are several pretty awesome coffee tables available here if you’re looking for one that will stand alone, unaccessorized! 😉 ) This year, Wilson is obsessed with the little Charlie Brown tree Price and I got as a dirty santa gift several years back. You can push a button and it plays the Charlie Brown music and he dances to it! So that, plus wreaths on all the windows, make up our keeping room decor! I actually love the simplicity! Oh, the Charlie Brown tree did have a single red ball on it, but since that gets confused with balls that you can throw, we nixed it. Still. Love the simplicity! 🙂

I think my favorite part of decorating is the process that it always is for me/us. We never get it done in one fell swoop and I kinda like it that way! It makes the fun last several days (or, for me, weeks since I start so early!) Since the Christmas Tea recipe I mentioned in this post makes so much, I’ve been enjoying a hot cup of that every night while decking our halls. That makes it even more fun!

What’s your favorite part of decorating?! I’d love to hear!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you guys are having a great week and staying dry!! (The rain lately sure has been insane around here!)

XOXOXO!
