Lovely Lately

Happy Friday! Oh, I just love the weekend! I have a lot planned this weekend, including a baby shower for a sweet college friend, getting Christmassy things done around the house, and celebrating my baby boy turning two years old! Not sure how those two years sped by so quickly! I ask God to help me enjoy every single day with by babes, especially when I’m tempted to get frustrated and impatient. God is so good!!

Anyway, I wanted to share a few lovelies lately! 🙂

…Noticing these pretty pink and yellow flowers on a tree in our front yard that I’ve never noticed before! I don’t know if it’s that I just haven’t paid much attention, but I’m not sure how I could’ve been missing these beauties! How pretty are they!!? I wish I knew what this plant is called! Anyone?

The loveliest red and yellow flowers!

… Getting to be a guest blogger for The Scout Guide Jackson! I so enjoyed working on a piece highlighting all things LIGHT & BRIGHT and local! Although I might be biased, I think my favorite item on this scouted list is the LED string lights from SummerHouse. They’re so pretty, and such a great price! Check out the full post by clicking here! 🙂

Loving on Local businesses by highlighting LIGHT & BRIGHT items! <3

… Getting familiar with my new lens for my Nikon by practicing around the house! It’s a pretty great zoom lens!

… Getting our family Christmas card photo sesh on with friend and photographer Amzi Ball!  Sadly it had just rained so things were a little damp, but we made it work and ended up with some pretty cute shots! These are my faves!

… LOVING having Sprayzee as a regularly used product in our home now. This stuff is excellent at getting rid of odors… And full disclosure: with two kids and three dogs, there are some odors around here. My favorite use has been for getting dog smell off the sofas. If they start smelling a little funky, I’ll vacuum them then spray this stuff and it is awesome. It’s 100% all natural without any chemicals (it’s simply apple cider vinegar and essential oils!) so I don’t have to worry about chemicals when it comes to the cheerins.

Sprayzee: chemical free alternative to Febreeze that WORKS!

And lastly…

The plant is a Camellia Japonica ‘Yuletide’. Mine are covered in blooms right now, as well. These are one of my favorite shrubs, because they have beautiful dark green glossy leaves year round, thrive with little attention, and the large, red blooms at Christmas.
