Mom Jeans

The time has come to talk about MOM JEANS. They are a trend right now and I kiiiinda don’t hate it… I know there are mixed feelings in the audience! I feel like they can be made to look pretty chic, and I don’t think anyone would argue with me when I say that they are just flat out comfortable! (Plus high waist = muffin top concealer! YES.) They’re definitely not for everybody, but if you’re looking to step out of the box a little, I suggest hopping on the mom jean train for a minute. While you’re at it, get yourself a large SUV, drink 6 cups of coffee a day, and make all of your extra curricular decisions based on whether or not child care is provided. Mom jeans plus mom behavior are a winning combo, amiright?

But seriously, I love motherhood, so why would I not get in on this fashion action?! Just trying to live a little over here! 😉

I feel like these distressed boyfriends, which are totally mom style because of the higher waist, call for a heel and a bit of a tailored something on top. Some statement jewelry doesn’t hurt either!

Speaking of… I was SO EXCITED to stumble upon a new-to-me jewelry brand called Marrin Costello. I got this shark tooth necklace from them that I adore! Wilson thinks it’s pretty cool, too, since he’s super into sharks right now! 😉

LOL so my mom just bought a pair of jeans and she told me, “I bought mom jeans and I don’t care what anybody says about me.” She HATES regular jeans. I think you look adorable! And I love the necklace!

I’ve been in the “mom jeans” phase (and WORSE!) for quite a while now. You look great in them, but there is definitely one difference from my outfit and yours… there’s NO WAY I could EVER, EVER wear those shoes!!! Actually, your outfit is too cute to actually qualify as “mom jeans”…I think!!
