On Film

Yesterday I got an email from a friend that I’ve been anticipating for weeks! It was a dropbox file from my photographer friend Beth Morgan Cowan with the pictures she captured on film (yes, old school film) of our family/maternity photo session from early in December!

I was completely taken with the nature of the film photos. They were beautiful. The slightly grainy look is so captivating! And the thing I’ve come to love about lifestyle shoots is the imperfection. The house was messy. The porch was dirty. My slip was showing. Other stuff. And Beth captured it all beautifully!

She got some color photos as well as some black and whites. Today I wanted to share a few of my favorite B&Ws.

Beth was incredible to work with. She made me feel like a movie star! And despite Wilson’s bad mood that day, she was able to get some beautiful shots of him! More coming later this week when I share some of color photos!

Stay tuned! 🙂 And thanks a million for stopping by today!!! I hope you’re having a great week!

Thank you, Beth, for these little bits of life that I will forever treasure!!

Love all these pics. The “imperfections” just MAKE THEM. That nostalgic feeling of being frozen in time is mesmerizing….
