Rosemary Gin Lemonade

Happy Friday!

It’s been a really good week around the Hoo house! Can’t wait to share more about why that is soon 🙂 But to celebrate, a cocktail seems appropriate!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If I’m walking through a wine or liquor store and see a pretty bottle, I’m way more inclined to buy that bottle vs. the ugly bottle next to it, even if the ugly bottle costs a few dollars less. I just love beautiful packaging! So when I saw this bottle of Koval gin at Colony Wine Market in Madison, I just knew I had to have it. It would be so pretty sitting out on our bar! 🙂 As it turns out, Koval actually won an award for the beautiful design of this label, and I can absolutely see why!

Not only is the bottle lovely, but the actual gin is very smooth. Even Price, who has proclaimed to hate gin, actually loved this cocktail when I made it for him! That’s how smooth it is 🙂

So here’s the recipe for this delicious, refreshing summer drink that you’ll enjoy serving up next time you’re looking for something fun and different!

>> WHAT YOU NEED <<

juice from one lemon
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 ounces Koval gin
1/2 sprig of fresh rosemary

>> WHAT YOU DO <<

(1) Squeeze your lemon and remove all the seeds so you have some fresh, pure, pulpy lemon juice! (2) Mix the lemon juice, your simple syrup, and your gin in a lowball glass. (3) Take your half sprig of rosemary and twist it a little bit to allow some of that flavor to be released and add it to your drink. (4) Top with ice and serve immediately.

Optional step (5) Top with plain sparkling water to dilute it just a little bit and add a fun little burst of fizz!

ENJOY!

Have any of you tried Koval gin? You can pick it up locally at Colony Wine Market! The guys in there are SO nice and helpful if you ever need any special direction! They actually helped me pick out the perfect bottle of Koval Whiskey for Price for his birthday by asking me what else he likes so they could get a sense of his taste. It’s also in a beautiful bottle, and Price loves it! He enjoys it only on very special occasions so it’ll last longer 🙂

Thank y’all SO MUCH for dropping in today! It means the world to me- I appreciate it so much! Have a killer weekend and be sure to check back here Monday a.m.! 🙂

XO!

This sounds delicious! And I am with you about the cute bottles – they look better on bar carts!
