Happy middle of the week! Today I wanted to share a fun cocktail I crafted last week when I had a surplus of fresh berries on hand!
I call this guy The Busy Body for a couple of stupid reasons, but for one good reason, and that is this: Busy bodies like myself often need to be forced to sit down and enjoy a quiet moment from time to time. The cocktail is one that requires slow sippage, which requires me to sit down and relax for a little while. It is a little strong, which is why it’s a good idea to take your time sipping on it!
It’s filled with warm weather flavors, which makes it perfect for our upcoming spring and summer! 🙂
>> WHAT YOU NEED <<
about two dozen fresh blueberries
one fresh strawberry, cut up
the juice of one lime
three mint leaves
a small dash of simple syrup
two ounces of vodka
>> WHAT YOU DO <<
Tear up the mint leaves and put them in a drink shaker (we have and love this one) then add the blueberries, the cut up strawberry, the dash of simple syrup, and the lime juice. Muddle all of this. Add the vodka and a handful of ice and shake. Strain into your favorite glass, garnish with mint, and sit down, you busy body! 🙂 Enjoy your cocktail!
It’s really simple, and because it has fruit and herbs in it, I’m considering it healthy! 😉
