The Day We Strayed

Another Stray at Home is in the books! Stray at Home 2015 was a GREAT festival. I had SUCH a wonderful time and I still can’t get over how awesome my booth placement was! To my left was my friend Lacey Cain who does THE most incredible dog portraits (among other things) and to my right was a booth shared by childhood bestie and watercolor artist extraodinaire Jaclyn Petty and the lovely Helen Geary of Rowan and Myers!

The weather was absolutely beautiful. There were moments where it was pretty hot, but overall, it couldn’t have been better. No rain and plenty of sunshine is a WIN!

Setting up my booth was actually one of the most fun parts of the day for me! My sweet hubby was super helpful in getting everything in order, all while he was tending to Wilson (who was SUCH a trooper! And slept like a rock Saturday night!)

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello. I loved getting to catch up with so many people, including all of the Petty kids! We all grew up together and spent many an hour/day/year hanging out, playing capture the flag, singing Celine Dion at the top of our lungs (confession), playing weeks long Monopoly games… I could go on forever, baby! We’re all scattered out now, so it was great to reunite! We were just missing my baby bro Dooley and our sweet friend AC!

 Another highlight of the day was the food… There were some of my favorite food trucks there! I had a really hard time choosing between Lurny D’s awesome burgers or Tito’s Tacos. I went with a quesadilla from Tito’s and it was better than ever… They have that good mexican chicken. Not the cheap mexican restaurant chicken! (Which I eat all the time so I’m not knocking it. I just must prefer this good kind!)
