The Social Bee | Tintype

Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I hope y’all had a great weekend! 🙂

This morning, I wanted to point y’all towards the latest post I got to write for my Social Bee column on The Daily Social blog! It is about a tintype photographer whose work is crazy incredible! I had never heard of this type of photography until I learned about it through Thimblepress, but it’s what they used to take photos back during the Civil War!

This photographer’s name is Michael Foster. You can learn more about him by visiting his website or by reading the Social Bee post! 🙂 Here is a peek at what tintype looks like, in case you’re not familiar with it either!

Isn’t this photo beautiful!? Most of what he does is straight on portraits, which you can see more of by exploring his site and FB page! They’re super cool, and actually pretty creepy in an awesome way! I hope to get one of our little family done sometime soon. 🙂

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by today! (And as of this weekend, you can keep up with all the Social Bee posts via the new widget in the sidebar on the home page! Yay!)

Have a great week!!
