Yellow Dress

A couple of weeks ago, Price and I got to go to a beautiful wedding in New Orleans! As many times as we have been to NOLA (most noteworthy recent trip here!), we have never once been to a wedding there! I was excited not only to help celebrate the union of two very sweet people, but I was able to get to wear a dress I’ve been dying to wear ever since I got it! A yellow pleated dress with cutout shoulders can’t be worn just anywhere… I think it was made for weddings! I had a lot of fun wearing it. Such a cool design! Props, Rachel Zoe 😉

Also, how GORGEOUS is the house behind me? The street that the church was on had the prettiest homes on it!

// dress // sandals, old. similar here // earrings, old. similar here // bag, old. similar here (comes in 3 colors!) // disclaimer: I know my boobs look weird in these pictures. I know you’re thinking it! I promise I had on a sticky bra! This lighting wasn’t the best buuuut we just worked with what we had! //

Speaking of weddings… Do you other old married folks find as much comfort as I do in hearing wedding vows spoken? I know Price and I said them to each other on our wedding day, and of course we completely meant them, but the day as a whole was such a blur, so I love being reminded of the sacred vow we took before God, family, and friends by hearing others repeat the same or similar vows to one another! Since it’s not my own wedding day, I can listen more intently without having my mind wander to other details of the day. I think that is one of the reasons I love weddings so much! SUCH a special day for the couple of honor and such a sweet reminder to other married folks of what truly matters.

Price looked so handsome in his new bow tie (which I am so proud of myself for tying… It only took like 30 minutes…) and his seersucker! 🙂

I hope all of you are having an awesome week! As always, thanks a million for stopping by today! Love you guys!

My goodness – no wonder you were so excited about wearing that dress! You could search the world over and never find another so perfect. For a second I was like, oh, there was a house in the pic? 😉
