The first leg of our Scotland trip in St. Andrews was wonderful! You can read more about it in this post!
From there, we moved on to Troon, which was a bit more rural and totally GORGEOUS! The place we stayed, Sandhill House, was great! It was right on Royal Troon golf course, which the guys got to play, so they could actually walk to the edge of the property and watch people play the (I think) 10th hole!
Sandhill House was very Boardwalk Empire-esque in many aspects. When Price and I were walking up the red carpeted stairs, we felt like we were in Gillian’s house from the show! And when we were eating breakfast, which was totally old school and very traditional (and yummy!), the music that played was straight from the credits of B.E. We LOVED it!
See? Very B.E., wouldn’t you agree?
Then there was the “white room,” which would not fall into the B.E. category, but it was a beautiful, light filled room where we spent a lot of time!
One of the best parts about this place was the grounds. They had chickens, so free range eggs were breakfast options every morning, the flowers were to die for, and they had horses, llamas, and alpacas!!! We especially loved the alpacas. They were SO SWEET! I’ll show you more pictures from our love sesh with them soon! (We may or may not have taken about 100 pictures with them…)

While in Troon, we had high tea at The Marine Hotel just before Katie and I got Mum-To-Be spa treatments!
Although the spa wasn’t the most outstanding one I’ve ever been to, this treatment was seriously probably one of the best ever! If you’re pregnant and traveling to Scotland, you MUST get this treatment at The Marine Hotel!! It comes complete with a facial, arm and leg rub downs, and an anti stretch mark treatment on the belly! Good stuff!

From Troon, we made our way to what we referred to as Turnberry because of the golf course, but technically the town was called Maidens.
We stayed at Wildings Hotel and it was a dream! It was really close to the water, the rooms were super clean and modern, and the restaurant in it was to die for! Mo said it was one of his favorites and I can see why! I ordered the filet for my meal and I could have bathed in the peppercorn parmesan sauce that came with it… Then the dessert! Sticky Toffee Pudding! Oh my gosh. Incredible.
But enough about that! Getting a little carried away…
We were only here for one night, but it was great nonetheless, and a fabulous place to end our stay. Check out this scenery…
Oh, and we also saw a Rolls Royce! Not every day you run into one of these bad boys…

That about covers where all we stayed! But I still have a few more posts so share from some day trips, side trips, and llama/alpaca time! So stay tuned! 🙂
And have a wonderful, wonderful weekend! And be thankful for all of your blessings! 🙂
