Something I just learned while going back and taking my time on The Bible Recap summer months from last year (because there were days I rushed through to check it off the list, and I didn’t have time to sit with the goodness, so I started summer over and am going slowly) is THIS— “Proverbs 25:2 says, "It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out." Sometimes God is more glorified in mystery than in revealing everything. And sometimes the only reason we seek answers is because we're proud or impatient or don't want to have to trust God. The leaders among men are supposed to have all the answers, but the ultimate Leader of all mankind is the only one who truly does, and sometimes, He just isn't telling. This is humbling to us but glorifying to God. Any time He conceals things from us, we can rest assured that it's ultimately in our best interest. He doesn't play hide-and-seek with anything we need to know to obey Him. He's not cruel. He's intentional with all the details and with His timing in revealing them. He's where the joy is!” Isn’t that BEAUTIFUL and GOLDEN?! More beautiful than a flower crown and more golden than a yellow dress, even?! 😆 I hope that gives you some rest during your seasons of mystery and uncertainty. One of our biggest “discussions” when we moved One of our biggest “discussions” when we moved into our current house was whether to put art or a TV above the mantle in our living room. TV won, and I’m glad it did because that’s where we do most of our family watching!, but NOWWWWW art wins, too, with this Samsung Frame tv! It looks like art when you’re not watching! 🤩 You have tons of options for frames, then once it’s installed, you have tons of options for art! We are really really enjoying this smart compromise, which I’m certain Samsung developed after they heard about other marital discussions much like ours 😆 Our tv and bezel (which is what they call the actual frame) are linked! He got his cochlear implants when he was 10 months old, and started at Magnolia Speech School when he was just over a year old. His hearing age is 10 months behind his hearing peers because he had no access to spoken language until his cochlear implants were turned on, but because of the wonderful staff and method at Magnolia Speech School, Dempsey has almost completely caught up to his hearing peers, leaving that 10 month delay in the dust! 💨 His teachers, therapists, and audiologist have worked so hard with him to get him where he is today. We cannot be more grateful for Magnolia Speech School! Although students at Magnolia do pay tuition, they also rely heavily on donations from the community. When you buy these Campbell’s cookies this week, 15% of the sales will go straight back to Magnolia so they can continue helping kids like Dempsey! Yankees weekends are the best weekends!! We got se Yankees weekends are the best weekends!! We got second place this weekend after fighting our way back up after a rocky start. Oh my goodness I LOVE our team and how much our boys love each other and how they work together so well as a team! Thankful for them all 🥰 And how fun that both Yankees 8u teams (A and AA) made it to the ‘ship this weekend!! 8u navy took home the gold!!!

Today we celebrated the life of my precious cousin John Robert Kimbrough who unexpectedly went to be with Jesus on Tuesday. John Robert was joyful, filled with pure LOVE, was the hardest worker, the best hugger, and the kindest soul. He went home at the young age of 38. You truly never know when your time will come, but what profound PEACE we have knowing John Robert is in heaven and that we will see him again!! I left time with family today inspired to live life on purpose, love well, and share more Jesus!! “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬
Last week while I was shopping at @cornermarketms, Last week while I was shopping at @cornermarketms, I realized it had been a while since I took advantage of their create-your-own-six-pack option! I grabbed six good summery sounding beers (plus a canned cocktail) to take home for Price and me to try via a little tasting! I poured up some sample cups (and “labeled” them with different color straws so we could keep the tasting somewhat anonymous) and we discovered several new beverages to add into the summer rotation from this fun little activity! 🤩 I think my favorite was the Modelo salt & lime beer and Price especially enjoyed the Little Miss Sour. But truly, they were ALL good!! I highly recommend doing a tasting like this— it was FUN! And Corner Market has the best selection!! Have you ever done a tasting like this? CHEERS to summer!

(Double whammy! 😂) No worries, though! He got some “clean” donut holes shortly thereafter thanks to a very sweet and observant caterer and all was right in the world again! 🥰
