Happy six years to Dempsey’s ears! We celebrate Happy six years to Dempsey’s ears! We celebrated with his sweet class and with our family! Thank you, God, for allowing us to live in a miracle daily!! The blessings that cochlear implants are are nothing short of MIRACULOUS. We feel insanely blessed! 🫶
I got the joy of reading two really sweet books to I got the joy of reading two really sweet books to Dempsey’s class today as part of his 6th Ear Birthday celebration! Demps specifically asked that I bring books about ears 🥰 I love these two books: 1. Can Bears Ski? is about a kiddo with progressive hearing loss who ends up with hearing aids! This book has some sweet tips on how we can all communicate more clearly with each other, and especially with those who are hard of hearing! 2. BOY is one of my favorite children’s books ever. It’s about a boy with complete, profound hearing loss. He does not speak- h ed only signs. His inability to hear the discord around him ends up being the thing that brings everyone together in the end! It’s a PRECIOUS book!! Comment BOOKS and I’ll send you links! Benson Boone can put on a SHOW!!!! Loved every min Benson Boone can put on a SHOW!!!! Loved every minute of getting to see this guy with some of my favorite people! AND!! We got to high five him at the end of the night!! He was so sweet!! A night that’ll live in the memory bank for.ev.er!!!
Spending the weekend in Fort Worth was a total DRE Spending the weekend in Fort Worth was a total DREAM!! We went to see Benson Boone (more on that in separate post!) but had bunches of fun exploring in our free time! Our stay at @theharperfortworth was wonderful, @tsgfortworth gave us lots of great tips, the antique car show we stumbled upon on Saturday morning was super cool, the Stock Yards did not disappoint, and all the food was 💯!!! All in addition to great company!! Such a sweet weekend making awesome memories!!

Shout out to Flora, Mississippi! Flora is genuinel Shout out to Flora, Mississippi! Flora is genuinely the cutest, sweetest small southern town! I went to visit my friend Sarah at her gallery @mctaggartfineart (and loooved the vibe in there!) then wound up just walking up and down Main Street popping into shops. I ended with a visit to @thecornerpharmacyandmarket where I got a delicious iced coffee (may I recommend The Flora? It’s white chocolate and caramel!) and enjoyed browsing the merch. We already love all the Flora restaurants, but I did just find out there is a little speakeasy of sorts on Main Street! Has anyone been?! I really do love when I get a chance to spend a little time here. It’s almost like a step back in time, into slower, simpler days, and I love it!

Needed this sweetness to have a longstanding spot Needed this sweetness to have a longstanding spot in my feed 🥹 I can’t remember how old my bigger two were when they started riding longer distances on their bikes by themselves, but with this being my baby, it seems different. Like a bigger deal maybe. Hard to put words to it! Isn’t it strange how contrasting the multiple childhoods we are blessed to foster can be? Motivation, discipline, and growth look so different in my three. This particular step towards independence felt so big for my little caboose. Proud of him and so grateful to get to be his mama! Now go enjoy that play-based childhood, buddy!
