Dempsey’s annual “let’s talk to my new class Dempsey’s annual “let’s talk to my new class about my cochlear implants” day was today! And — I LOVE THIS TIMING SO MUCH— tomorrow (8/12) is World Elephant Day! This is significant to us because Dempsey’s implant company, @medel_global, has an elephant mascot! Her name is Mellie and she helps us talk to Dempsey‘s class about his ears at the beginning of each school year! This is our third year to do this, just to create a happy, relaxed space for his classmates to learn about those things on his head and to ask whatever questions they may want to ask! it’s become something I really look forward to each year. I’m so grateful that Dempsey‘s teachers, year after year, allow me to come in and share! Comment EARS and I will DM you a link to the blog post that has a little more information about all this (including coloring sheet links and keychain link!) LASTLY, did you notice that amazing cookie cake?! My friend @baked_byjennie did that for me and I am absolutely crazy about it! The design was precious, but the flavor was 100 times even more spectacular! Please give her a follow, and let her know if you need a beautiful baked good for any upcoming event!

Highball is such a fun place to take the fam for bites & bowling, Capri Theatre is completely iconic (right now they’re showing Spider-Man), and The Station not only has great pizza, but they have the BEST green space/backyard area that is perfect for families! They’ve always got a game on their big screen and the kids can run free in the big, enclosed space while you enjoy visiting with friends in a cool environment!
