Keeping Room Concept

So I told y’all earlier this week that we are moving to a new house soon!! We are SO excited!

Being an interior design lover, I’ve had a little too much fun dreaming about what all of the rooms in our new house will look like! I’ve really had to reel myself in a few times because either (a) what I like is waaaay too expensive or (b) Price wasn’t seeing my vision.

One thing that has helped him see my vision a little better is me grouping everything together for him to see “on paper!” Like so! Here’s what we’re doing in the Keeping Room:

We are using several pieces of furniture that we already have (like the cocktail table, two blue chairs similar to the ones in the picture, the moroccan rug from West Elm, and the acrylic nesting tables from CB2!) and ordering a few new pieces for this space!

We have some simple metal barstools from CB2 and an awesome Mitchell Gold Clifton Sectional from SummerHouse on order! I am so excited to have a sectional… Our current living room just won’t allow one in a configuration I like, so now that we have space for one, we’re making one of my dreams come true! Woo hoo!

We are going to do a little painting in that room (currently it’s a pale blue, but I want to paint it Ben Moore Classic Gray like what is already on the walls in the living room) and eventually do some fun lamps and pillows (and possibly some window treatments) but I haven’t gotten that far yet! So I’ll keep y’all posted!

On another note, I think I’ve come up with a hashtag for Insta to track our progress! I believe I’ve settled on #newhoohouse (unless anyone can come up with anything better?! I’m completely open to suggestions!)
