Y’all might remember me mentioning our supper club last week where I made this bloody good sangria! Well I had just as much fun with the table as I did with the food and drank. I didn’t want to go too scary (because, let’s face it, I’m a total fraidy cat!) but I was able to incorporate some fun, festive elements into the table without going too overboard with Halloween. A few skulls here (which had dual meaning because everyone in our supper club was a Chi O!), a few somewhat creepy instax polaroids and spiderwebs there, and some clippings from a half dead rose bush in our yard (that I just *knew* would come in handy one day… ha!), and we were pretty much set!
I also mentioned in the sangria post that we made some black spaghetti as the entree for this meal. I didn’t think I’d gotten a decent picture of it, but I found one. Yay! It was a pretty fun (yet not too creepy) main dish that was super festive and super yummy! (Note: The black food color paste I used to dye the noodles does not affect the taste, nor does it turn your teeth a different color!)
The great thing about this table was/is… It adapted so perfectly to a generically fall table! I took up the skulls and photos, added a few more flowers, and voila! Fall table that will last well past Halloween!
Thank y’all a ton for stopping in today! I hope you’re having a great week so far! XO!
