Gallery Ideas

I’ve got a little project going in one of our bathrooms where I’m working on a gallery! I love the look of well done galleries – I think they’re just so inspired and eclectic! I like the cozy, collected feel they provide. Although I’ll admit that my own gallery has been a little bit of a struggle, I’m still having fun with it and trying to get a little creative. I definitely plan to share it when it is complete (hopefully in a couple of weeks!) but until that time, here are some photos that are getting my wheels turning!

Things I’ve learned I really respond to in gallerying… (is that a word? It is now!)

(1) I love a  mixture of larger pieces with smaller.

(2) A variation of types of pieces speaks to me. I love how the prints, plates, original pieces, found objects, mirrors, and everything else just come together to form these inspirational families of beauty!

(3) In the galleries that are all art, I love the mixing of frame type/size.

(4) I appreciate there being a loose color theme. In the gallery I have somewhat started, everything is mainly black, white, yellow/gold, and green, with a few pops of silver and warm pinks and reds. Sounds a little scattered right now (and it is!) so that may all change. But I kinda don’t think it will… I’m liking the direction. Just gotta get it together!

Do any of y’all have gallery walls in your abodes? If so, what rules or themes did you follow? I’d love to hear!

Thank y’all for checking in today! Y’all are my faves! 🙂 XO!

I love a good gallery wall! I have one in my entry hall that is mostly bright colors. And I am going to do one in my bedroom that is all black and white. The one in my entry hall is a mixture of paintings, real photographs and some fun pages I tore out of an old Kate Spade planner. Since there is a lot of different colors going on, I kept all the frames white.
