Ok y’all… This is pretty exciting…
Jackson Restaurant Week (JRW) is coming to town soon (9/29 – 10/12), and every restaurant week (this year, it’s actually weeks), the JRW organization donates a LARGE sum of money to the charity who gets the most votes during the week!
Each participating restaurant comes up with a special pre fixe menu for the weeks, and every time you eat at one of these restaurants, you get to vote for your favorite charity to win the big prize. The more you eat, the more you get to vote! I actually got to help plan the first couple of JRWs, so this is something pretty special to me personally! 🙂
ANYWAY!
This year, I get to give away two tickets to the CHARITY REVEAL PARTY taking place tomorrow night at Hal and Mal’s in Jackson! (And Price and I will be there too!) At the party, Food Network celeb Simon Majumdar will announce the charity finalists and there will be live music, drink specials, and free appetizers! Sounds like a great time, right?!

Come out tomorrow night to show support for your favorite charity at the first ever Charity Reveal Party! Bring signs and banners to decorate the room or wear a t-shirt to let others know which charity you support.
Let’s show special guest Simon just how charitable and fun the Eat Jackson community is. Mississippi is the most giving state in the nation. This is a night to show off our generosity and our hospitality!”

Woo hoo! Glad I hit refresh and saw this! This weekend, Sethnog and I cleaned and organized the house, made waffles…and I taught PB! We also had a family dinner with my parents and Seth and Claire Winny, followed by a trip to Fondren Public! Oh so fun!
I’ve been praying for the charity that has been there for my family to win this! Can’t wait to hear!

So excited about this post! I love to eat good food, and this is for a good cause! Some friends asked us to dog sit/house sit for them so we got to take care of two of the sweetest/cutest puppies ever!
