Natchez Is A Good Place For A Wedding

On May 4th, my brother in law Jesse and his beautiful bride Mary Margaret got hitched!! The wedding was absolutely GORGEOUS. Seriously, probably the most flawless, beautiful, southern weddings I’ve ever been to. (Sometimes I want to re-marry Price with an all new style of wedding and reception just for fun! So many great ideas out there!) šŸ™‚

The rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception were all at Dunleith Plantation in Natchez, which was extremely convenient!

Dunleith Plantation // Natchez, MSWe were able to make it by Fat Mama’s Tamales on Friday afternoon for some tamales and a “Knock You Naked” margarita, which I’d been longing for since the last time I was in Natchez! Love that place!

Anyway, their rehearsal dinner had some of the best ideas I’ve ever seen, so I wanted to share! I know these pictures aren’t the best… #instagram… But they get the point across! šŸ™‚

The first and foremost of the great ideas they had was the wine bottle / table number idea.

Here’s what they did:

Wine bottles (a) to mark each table number and (b) for guests to write on for the bride and groom to enjoy on whatever number anniversary the table number is

They marked table one with a wine bottle that had a custom “Table Number 1” label on it. The label was large and mostly blank, so everyone who sat at that table wrote “congrats on making it to your first anniversary” messages on that bottle. They’ll drink that bottle of wine on their first anniversary and get to remember all the fun people who sat at table one!

I was at table eight, so when their eight year anniversary rolls around, they’ll get to read the messages that my table wrote on the 8 bottle! Awesome idea, right?! And to make it even BETTER, they had pictures of when each of them were one year old at table one, two years old at table two, eight years old at table eight… HOW CUTE, RIGHT?!? I was uber impressed with the plethora of great ideas!

They also had a cigar bar outside for guests to enjoy before and after the dinner. I had the pleasure of making some custom matchbooks to go on the table! The cigar bar was a pretty great idea and the custom matches just perfected it! (NOT because I did them… I just thought the idea was great!) šŸ™‚

These were VERY easy to make. Anyone could do them for whatever event you might be having! I did them for Price’s 30th birthday party, too! Same exact thing, only a different design! šŸ™‚

Overall, the wedding was absolutely wonderful — I already miss that weekend!! I wish we could teleport back for just a minute and relish the atmosphere a little more!

Hope everyone is having a great week!
