Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

I made some old fashioned sugar cookies for my trunk show last week that surprisingly ended up being pretty good, so I thought I’d share the two recipes I used to make them!

This cookie recipe was what I used for the cookie, then this glaze recipe is what I used as the icing! They tasted like the type of sugar cookie that your grandmother used to make– nothing like the slice and bake kind that most people use today! They have a little bit of an almond flavor, which is the ingredient that I think makes them extra special! Props to whoever came up with the dough recipe! (Bonus– it requires no refrigeration!)

The frosting/glaze was super duper easy to make. All I did was add a little food coloring to get the color I wanted! It did get a tiny bit difficult to spread from time to time, so I found that dipping the knife in warm water then continuing the spreading was the way to go!

If you try these out, I’d love to know what you think! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! 😉

The links to the sugar cookie recipe and glaze recipe are not working. I’d love to try these out. Where can I get the recipes? Thanks!
