Outdoors, Flowers, and a Baby Shower

Y’all may remember back in the fall of last year where I posted some pictures (and a great interview with Sara Beth) of a really fun baby shower thrown for my darling sis-in-law Katie!

We knew Social South was going to be doing a little feature, so I didn’t want to post all the pictures we took just yet. But now that the issue is out, I have lots more to share! And if you haven’t seen the latest issue of Social South, you’re missing out! It’s a party-themed issue and it might be the most adorable issue of the magazine I’ve seen yet! I love ALL of the parties featured! (And how cute is the cover?!)

Here are lots more photos and a few more deets from the fun day!! Hope you enjoy viewing as much as we hostesses enjoyed planning and executing!

Flowers and Invitation Design were done beautifully by Sara Beth Cobb of nimblee. The food was a group effort by all of us hostesses. The place settings were composed of mixed and matched plates and glasses from my personal collection and mixed and matched chairs also from my personal collection as well as my mama’s. The umbrellas were hung with care by us hostesses plus my awesome parents. MAJOR shout out to my dad for his patience and keeping the rest of us calm, and shout out to my mama for providing us with decaf mint tea to keep us hydrated as this project lasted until almost midnight. Place cards were done by my calligraphy pen and watercolor brushes. Fun was provided by all of the wonderful guests and the awesome mama-to-be!

I just LOVED this shower, Laurel! So pretty and perfect. And the food sounds delish! If I have a little girl this go ’round this is the exact type of celebration I would want! :))
