Well HELLO! It’s been a minute since I’ve been able to find a few minutes to hop on here. But I gotta say, getting photos back from my friend Mary Leslie was just the push I needed to get back on!

She met me at a neighborhood close to where we live and she snapped some quick pics and I seriously love them! A good photographer makes photo taking so fun and easy 🙂 If anyone in the area is looking for a happy, laid back, good photographer for your next occasion, definitely consider Mary Leslie! She communicates really well through insta 🙂

These photos also reminded me how much I adore this spotted shirt I recently picked up at the local Target! (<< That’s how people from the Mississippi Delta talk. Everything is “the.” “The Burger King.” “The Winn Dixie.” “The Target.”) It’s super soft, it wasn’t expensive, and it goes super well with these comfy chic pants! 😉

I haven’t been on here lately because life is just cray sometimes, you know? I’ve honestly been spending all my time researching cochlear implants and talking to moms of kids who have them, asking what they love and don’t love about the brands they decided on for their kids. Such a big decision! Thanks to everyone who has been praying us through this season. Not that I’m wishing it away because if I could freeze my kids at their current ages forever, I totally would. I LOVE each of their personalities SO MUCH right now! But it’s not an easy season. That is for sure.

Another thing that’s been keeping me ultra busy at work is MAY MOD at SummerHouse! This fashion show for the whole family is happening in Ridgeland, Mississippi THURSDAY! (Two days away.) It’s going to be so fun, y’all. I’m so pumped. It’s benefitting Magnolia Speech School, which is where we’ve been receiving Dempsey’s early intervention services! And seeing all the weird and wonderful looks from the Met Gala last night just got me even more amped up because, yes, there will definitely be some weird and wonderful to be spotted at this show! Get excited 🙂 And get your tickets here.

How do you make it through the harder seasons of life? I try my hardest to just take it one day at a time. Gather up that manna each morning, pray for wisdom and guidance for today, then start over again tomorrow! Price has to jerk me back into place fairly often by reminding me that there is nothing good that comes from worrying about tomorrow. This scripture in Matthew 6 is so beautiful to me, and maybe to you too 🙂

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not [carrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

I hope your day is filled with zero worry, a good laugh, and maybe a May Mod ticket purchase! ha! 😉

You’re the best. Thank you for dropping in today! XOXO!

Special thank you to Mary Leslie (@mississippimomma) for the pics!
