A few days ago while we were on vacation with Pric A few days ago while we were on vacation with Price’s family, Dempsey and I walked down to the beach to enjoy the pretty day. When we are playing in the mighty, mighty ocean, we take his cochlear implant processors off bc we do not want to risk losing them! Anyway, Dempsey saw a couple of big kids skim boarding so he decided he was going to watch and learn. He went back to our beach house, got a skim boarding, came back, and started copying the big kids. It wasn’t really going too well 🤪 But the big kids saw Demps trying. They walked over to me and said, “is it ok if we teach your son how to do this?” I said, “he would love that, but he’s deaf and has his hearing devices off. He can lip read though!” Honestly, I thought that might scare them off. But nope!! Those two sweet boys went and taught my little bud all they could through motioning, lip reading, and patience. They worked with him for what felt like an hour! They did not have to do that. But they showed pure kindness to my kiddo and taught him something new. And I sat there and cried watching it. Just PURE GOODNESS. 🫶 Boys, I have no idea who you are, but you made a huge impression on us. You have no idea. Thanks for going extra out of your way in the name of kindness. Yall are awesome and your parents have raised you guys well!!

This book!!! My sweet cousin @belljericho introduc This book!!! My sweet cousin @belljericho introduced me to it and it is THE SWEETEST. Truly. Gorgeous illustrations, and the most precious words with so much heart behind them. Four unlikely friends, their kindness, their wisdom, and one’s love for cake 🎂 will win you right over! It’s not exactly a children’s book, but it kind of is. It’s just a GREAT book for any one of any age by an author who likes plenty of pictures with his words, and he does a great job of providing both beautifully. Have you read this book?! We recently had a date night to @amerigo_restauran We recently had a date night to @amerigo_restaurant and it was soooo good (as always!) I’ve been wanting to check out their NEW SUMMER MENU (hold at the end of the video to see all the seasonal options) so I ordered the peach pizza with pancetta and hot honey an oh my goodness was it delish! 😋 Price went with an old pasta favorite, which hit the spot like it always does, and of course the wine + cocktails were the perfect compliments to our lovely meal! We love this restaurant so much and always have the best time there. Thank you, @amerigo_restaurant, for just being the best! 💛 Until next time! 😘

The most fun day with my babies!!! A while back, The most fun day with my babies!!! A while back, one of my kiddos said he (or she 🤪) didn’t think that knowing about the color wheel was important, so I took that statement as a challenge and set aside a day for us to learn that the color wheel + compliments & contrasts + color mixing actually ARE important! I personally feel that knowing all about color helps us appreciate God’s beautiful creation even more than we already do! The vibrancy of wild flowers, the complimentary colors on tree leaves, the monochromatic color schemes God uses in the clouds… it’s all so meaningful! After brunch at @elviesrestaurant where I showed them a little slide show about color, then a coffee stop at @cultivatecoffeeproject, we headed to @msmuseumart! We each took a few Polaroids throughout the morning highlighting some sort of color story we each selected. Dempsey chose neutrals, Wilson chose pops of red, Lily chose the red & green compliment, and I chose monochrome! Sadly we ran out of Polaroid film so we didn’t get to take quite as many pics as we wanted to but it was still a fun project! 😆 After the art museum, the kids asked if we could do the Mississippi History Museum since we were already downtown, so we went for it! Such a great museum if you’ve never been 🫶 Overall it was a wonderful day, and it is my hope that all my babies appreciate color (and MS history) more than they did when they woke up! Grateful for a free day to get to spend with them. God is good, and color is beautiful!
