Happy 4th Birthday, Wilson!

Our oldest baby turns FOUR today! I can hardly believe it! “They” always tell you how quickly time flies, and they sure are right. It’s been an amazing four years with our sweet, sensitive, tall, goofy, inquisitive, intuitive, fun-loving, blonde headed, blue eyed little man. He’s the source of SO much joy (and admittedly, a little challenge) and we could not imagine our lives without this guy.

We had a ball celebrating him on Saturday with friends and family at his dinosaur party! I’ll share some pics, then share sources of some of my favorite details. And note the family pics at the bottom… These are the best of the dozen that we tried to get of our family. It just straight up doesn’t work with so many young kids! 😉 This party also helped me appreciate how much I loved having a professional photographer at Wilson’s party last year. I didn’t get near the photos I wanted of this party, but with the photographer there last year, I didn’t have to worry at all about getting good pics! So if I could recommend one splurge for birthday parties, it’s a photographer. Because there really aren’t that many occasions where your whole family is together in one place that often! Amiright?!

Fun times! 😉

The party venue was a pretty cool place in Madison called Madison County Sports Zone. They have several big “bouncy houses” as my kids call them (or jumpy houses, or jump jumps… So many terms for these blow up thingys) and they’re all contained to one area with no escape, except for through one opening where all the parents congregate. So there’s no losing a kid at a party here! It’s great.

The main thing to be aware of when planning a party here is the short time you have to setup (unless you book the first party of the day.) There are two hours between parties, and each party is 1.5 hours, so there is only a 30 minute window for the previous party to get out and for you to get in and set up before your guests start to arrive (hence the mess of string cheese that I didn’t have time to place nicely!) That was really the only stressful part of having a party there. (Thankfully, they have helpers there to assist with setup and break down so it does go more quickly than it would otherwise.)

Overall, I loved having the party here because all I did was bring food, balloons, and table decorations. Believe it or not, this party was very simplified for me! I did not make a single food item, nor did I do any crafting! So this was by far the lowest key birthday party I’ve ever done for a kid. And it turned out pretty good! 😉

So that was how we celebrated our four year old! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our precious Wilson. What a blessing he is to us!

I hope y’all have a great day! Thanks for stopping in! XO!
