Happy Wednesday, people!
I have just a few #newhoohouse updates to share with you! 🙂 Over the weekend, we got a lot of art moved around and hung, got the guest room pretty much in order, and made a long list of things we still need to do!
We did start replacing light fixtures, so once we have a few more replaced, I’ll do a lighting update! For now, though, here are a few pics of the guest room, then a few miscellaneous ones!
The bed in here was one of my first SummerHouse purchases for myself and I’ve always loved it! And that pretty quilt was actually my mommy’s! I think she told me that her great aunt made it for her. I just love the colors in it!
The blue chest of drawers was actually Price’s when he was growing up! It was red with stickers all over it, so we sanded it and painted it about 6 years ago and it’s been a great piece! Lots of storage space in those drawers!
This room is a tad hodgepodgey, but I still like it! I do, however, hope to get some drapery up and some new paint on the walls in the coming months! When we were getting a lot of our other painting done, I couldn’t commit to a new color for in here, and I actually don’t mind the current color all that much, so we just decided to leave it for the time being!
As for a few other parts of the house…
Here are a few snaps from the dining room! It, too, is really coming together! We just need to replace that chandelier (anybody want to buy it?) and get some drapery up!
Oh. and perhaps get a rug! But that is down a few ticks on my priority list.
I still love all my SummerHouse furniture in there. Especially that wall library! It can hold SO much stuff, fills up a big wall so nicely, and it looks good! The trifecta!
Here is our foyer…
… and a little entry table that you run into once you make it through the foyer! 😉
Putting our own spin on this house is so much fun. It can be a little hectic at times, but that is to be expected, right?!
My project this weekend is to paint the bricks in the living room white… I could NOT be more excited! Not that I don’t love the brick, but we have a ton of exposed brick in here, so I want to do a little something different with some of it! And our white painted brick mantle was probably one of my favorite things about our old house! 🙂
Do any of y’all have any fun house projects going on right now? I’d love to hear about them! As always, thanks so much for reading!
Love it! You’re so good!
You’re so sweet! Thanks! Excited about your guest post!! Going live next week! 😉
RightO, sweet daughter re: old quilt being made by a great aunt. She had no children of her own, so my mother was extra dear to her. That quilt was the centerpiece of my room as I grew up, right up to my wedding day! Love ewe SO! marmee
It’s one of my favorite pieces in our house!!! Thanks SO much for letting me use it! 🙂
your house is looking SO good! I love the guest bedroom. I have been working on our house, but I feel like I have SO much to do! It can be so overwhelming.
