Over the weekend, we hosted our annual Life Group Friendsgiving at our house! In years past, we have gone with a Pilgrim and Indian theme, but since people seemed to not be as fired up about that this year, we decided to go a little simpler: PLAID! (Well, plaid and checks, for those of you who I know read this and are thinking to yourself “those are checks, not plaid!”)
This turned out to be a great theme… 95% of people participated by wearing plaid, and it was easy to sprinkle a little bit of plaid throughout the house in the form of ribbons, blankets, pillows, and chalk drawings on the tables!
Plus, plaid meshes really well with the Christmas decorations I’ve already started to slowly put out… I know I’m losing friends by jumping the gun but I just love the brightness that Christmas decorations add to our home! Plus, I think Thanksgiving and Christmas compliment each other so well that I don’t think decorating for one is necessarily “forgetting” the other! But that’s a discussion for another day! 😉
Everyone brought a different dish to the party, so we had plenty of extra yummy food! It was a great night filled with friends, fellowship, and lots of plaid! Friendsgiving is easily one of the highlights of my year 🙂 I just love our life group so much!!!
Look at that beautiful crew 😉
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you’re having a fabulous week so far! // See below for a few fun plaid accents that would spruce up your own plaid party, should you choose to do one too!
Laurel, where did you get your coffee table?? I love it!
Hey Gray! Thank you! It’s a Mitchell Gold table from SummerHouse! Sadly it is discontinued, but I bet Elish could find you one similar! 😉
Oh perfect thank you!!
