One Last Dose

I realized I never got around to posting pictures of our Christmas decorations this year! (To be honest, a big part of why I do a post like this every year is for myself so I can look back and be like “oh, that’s what I did with [whatever decoration] last year. Good to know!”)

Since the Christmas season isn’t over yet (I don’t consider it over until like the first week in January), I’m saying it’s not too late!! So here are a few snaps of what our pad looked like this season!

Last but not least… Here is my favorite picture from Christmas 2015!

May Christmas always be this mesmerizing :)

May Christmas always be this mesmerizing 🙂

There is nothing like children plus Christmas. Even if our baby isn’t old enough to really understand what this time of year is about, God used him to show me how important it is to make time to take it all in. To just be amazed. Not necessarily at pretty trees and lights, but at the sacrifice that Christmas is all about. God sent his only son to earth to live life as a human and to die an awful death all for US. So OUR sins could be washed away! Not really because He wanted to! As the parent of a son, I absolutely cannot imagine parting with my baby knowing that something bad was going to happen to him! But God is way bigger, stronger, and just more awesome than anything my little mind can comprehend. And it just leaves me thankful.

So very thankful!

I hope you’ve found yourself thankful this year, too! 🙂
