I’m excited to share a little more about a campaign that I’ve been posting about on Facebook and Instagram lately called The Missing Piece Movement!
The Missing Piece Movement is a campaign to help raise awareness for infertility and child loss. Women and families who have been through the difficulty of trying to conceive a child without success, or those who have been able to get pregnant only to find out that they don’t get to keep their baby, have been on very difficult emotional and physical rides. And after the wear and tear of loss or repeated trying without a baby to hold in their arms, these women and couples begin to lose heart.
The Missing Piece referred to in the name of this movement is the piece of heart that goes missing with the loss of a child or with the heartache of repeated negative pregnancy tests.
This movement is to boost the spirits of those who are feeling defeated and hopeless. This faith-based campaign is founded to encourage those in their journeys and in their walks with The Maker of Heaven and Earth. As tired as we who have walked the difficult road through infertility, miscarriage, and child loss grow of hearing “It’s all in God’s plan,” that really is the truth! He is making our stories just what He wants them to be. So we should make the most of our stories right now, no matter what the story may be!
$1 from the sale of each card in The Missing Piece Movement collection will go to the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep organization, which is a precious photography ministry provided to families who deliver babies but aren’t able to take those babies home with them. The pictures captured by the photographers associated with this ministry are often times the only captured memories a set of parents may have with their sweet angel baby!
The cards in The Missing Piece Movement collection by The Lovely Bee were designed for people who may not know what to say to their friends who are experiencing infertility or child loss. They were also designed to help promote conversation about miscarriage, infertility, and child loss. Unfortunately, these are somewhat common occurrences that people are afraid to talk about. Let’s work together to break down that wall of silence! One in four couples are affected by miscarriage or infertility. That is a LOT!
