Hey! Wow, it feels good to be back on the blog! Sorry I’ve been so spotty lately with posting… After reading this post, I think you’ll see why! ha!
After what seemed like forever (but really it was only a few weeks), our upstairs renovation is complete! Woo hoo!
With baby #2 on the way and our last remaining free downstairs room, which we used as a guest room, being converted into a nursery, we decided that we wanted to make better use of the space we had upstairs and make another bedroom so we’d have a place for guests to sleep!
Our upstairs bonus room was HUGE, so we divided it into a bedroom, a media room, and a bathroom! I am so happy with how it turned out. Truly, I couldn’t be happier! Now we just have to get the furniture from the current guest room to the new guest room!
Walking into the new guest room just revives me. It’s all white and I LOVE it. Total blank slate. The walls are Ben Moore Swiss Coffee and the trim is White Dove. Dreamy! 🙂
The walls/ceilings are funny and the room is somewhat small, but I think it’s going to be really cozy–just how I wanted it! It’s also going to serve as my office since what was my upstairs office is now a bathroom!
Because it is also serving as an office, we did a big built in desk for me to store all my Lovely Bee stuff and I adore how it turned out. Hardware and all!
The only thing I’m sliiiightly nervous about with this room is how the bed is going to fit. I was very careful in measuring, but since this space is small, the bed will be within inches of fitting. Like I said a minute ago…. It’ll be cozy!
I haven’t had a chance to clean the bathroom yet, so I don’t have any pictures of it to share, but here’s a sneak peek of my favorite feature in there! This tile just melts me! It turned out really well that my grout color preference is also a lot easier to keep clean! 😉
I’ll post more as we progress on the fruit basket turnover that currently is our house! (If I told you what all we are moving, switching, painting, etc., it would give you a headache… Since this kind of stuff is mostly fun for me, I’ll save you the pain!) 😉
