Throwback to the coolest movie room (or football w Throwback to the coolest movie room (or football watching room) EVER!! @kendallhousejxn, you are amazing 🥰 (Not pictured: the secret hidden room that we didn’t even know was there for most of our stay! Have you stayed at The Kendall House? Have you seen the secret room!!)
What an exciting 48 hours we have had… 😅 To What an exciting 48 hours we have had… 😅 To catch everyone up… On Tuesday morning, the kids were being kids and were sliding down the stairs on a beanbag. Wilson’s turn went way wrong and he ended up with a broken humerus. Which ended up needing surgery with three pins. We had surgery late Tuesday night (and loved our surgeon!!), spent the night in the hospital, and came home Wednesday morning (after he ate hospital breakfast which he was very excited about 😂.) Our families, our church family, our neighbors, our friends, and our baseball family have shown us more love than we could imagine. Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe us right now!! We can FEEL your prayers. Wilson compared @childrensofms (with the multiple food options and all the fun art and playgrounds) to a resort and commented on how kind and helpful everyone there was! He’s loved having a steady stream of visitors (“I had no idea I’d get to hang out with so many people this fall break!”) and has greatly enjoyed the treats he’s gotten 💛 Our @ms_yankees fam showed up with the most epic basket of all time and with some of the best teammates of all time, which really brought our boy some serious joy. We have read every message and text to him and it’s made him smile so big to hear from so many. THANK YOU for loving on our boy during this crazy time and for helping the good/fun majorly outweigh the bad/hurt. Please continue to pray for smooth healing and for the pain to stay down. He had a really good night of rest last night and is already getting around better today. We know God will continue to sustain us! We’re grateful for the good family time we have gotten these past couple of days. Thanks again, friends. Your love means so much 🥲

FINALLY made my way to @urbanfoxesjxn and I loved FINALLY made my way to @urbanfoxesjxn and I loved it!!! Can’t wait to get back! 🦊 ☕️ I got a slice of quiche & a cup of coffee and sat outside in the quaintest private outdoor area out back. I got to overhear an older English couple behind me talking about how much they had enjoyed their visit to Mississippi and it made my heart smile that they chose to visit here! 🥰 Lots of cool things going on around here, local friends! Lots and LOTS 🫶

It is not possible to feel both gratitude and anxiety at the same time. It’s science!! My precious family is one of the things I am most grateful for. (I love this photo @lindsayottphoto snapped of us last year!) Any time anxiety creeps in, I now know that scientifically if I choose gratitude in place of some kind of an anxious thought, that anxious thought cannot stay! GAME CHANGER!! I hope you found that little tidbit as cool as I did! 🤩🫶

Our family’s Jackson staycation last month inclu Our family’s Jackson staycation last month included a visit to the Mississippi History & Mississippi Civil Rights Museums. If we were going to let the kids skip a day of school, we had to learn *something* in place of formal education! And oh my goodness did we learn! Both of these museums (collectively known as Two Mississippi Museums) were so well done. We were blown away! We smiled and we cried. We LEARNED. We left thankful and filled with hope because of the progress the people of Mississippi have made over the years. At the end of the Civil Rights museum, the question, “What will your light stand for?” is posed. What will your light stand for? Huge thanks to these museums for inviting us in for a visit.
