Energy Bites

I’ve been making these little energy bites a lot lately because I find myself in need of an extra boost quite frequently! Since I’m on a 200mg caffeine limit these days, these have done the trick in keeping me awake when I need to be awake! 😉

These are super simple, healthy, and clean. I call them little turd balls for two reasons. I’ll let you figure out what those two reasons are on your own… Hint: Neither reason has anything to do with taste! (Sorry if that grossed you out! ha!)

Here’s the recipe:

1/3 cup raw almonds
1/3 cup steel cut oats
1/3 cup almond butter
1/4 cup chocolate protein powder (I like Shakeology)
1 Tablespoon coconut oil
1 Tablespoon raw honey

Here’s what you do:

Put all ingredients into a food processor (NOT a blender! You’ll never get the mixture out!) and process until you have a mixture of thick dough-like consistency.

Scoop out little bits at a time and roll into 1″ balls.

Place on wax paper and stick in the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.

Eat a couple now and save the rest for later! These will keep nicely in the fridge for a week or two if you keep them in an airtight container!

I think these things taste delicious and they really are so healthy! Not super low calorie, but very clean and easy for your body to process. I hope you like them, too!
