Enjoying Winter with Bonefish Grill

How do y’all feel about seasonal menus? I honestly LOVE when a restaurant has a special seasonal menu because, if there is one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s to be all in and to enjoy your seasons. I’ve talked about not rushing your seasons before, referring to a season of life, but I also think that nicely applies to whatever season it is, weather wise, too! If it’s winter, there is nothing we can do to hurry winter along (or make it last longer if you’re a cold weather lover), so we just gotta enjoy it and be ALL IN on winter!

So one way we have been going all in is by visiting our local Bonefish Grill and testing out their winter menu that features some seasonal items that aren’t available at other times of the year. (You may remember us trying their fall menu here. Here’s hoping Spring will be as good as these two have been!)

For starters, their winter cocktails are THE BOMB. Their Winter White Cosmo is extra good to me because it has Saint Germaine in it, which is one of my favorite spirits ever! The Infused Manhattan, Price’s selection, had his name all over it. A bourbon drink with vermouth, rosemary, and orange. That’ll warm you right up!

As an appetizer, we had the Imperial Dip. Y’ALL. Here’s how the menu describes it: “A delicious blend of tender shrimp, bay scallops, lump crab, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, served with seasoned house made tortilla chips.” As you may know, I’m super picky about things tasting too “seafoody,” and I LOVED this dip. I could’ve taken a gallon of that stuff home with me and been the happiest girl in the world!

For our entrees, Price ordered the catch of the day, which was a Mahi Mahi, and I went completely out of my comfort zone and ordered the King Crab Legs! After hearing our waitress describe them, there was no way one of us couldn’t order them. They sounded amazing!! Now to be completely transparent, I haven’t had crab legs since probably high school. The texture threw me off back then, but I figured enough years had passed to where my tastebuds had hopefully changed and I’d like them now!

Well, honestly, the flavor was great (as described by our waitress), but the texture still threw me off. Price tried them and said they were excellent crab legs, SO if you like crab legs, you’d like these! I just don’t like them like I hoped I would… HA! I did, however, have several bites of his Mahi and it was outstanding! We wound up trading about half of our entrees with each other 😉

Oh, how I wish I liked the texture of crab legs! Ha! I’ll give them another go in a few years and see how I do then… 🙂

So onto dessert… We were both pretty dang full by the time dessert rolled around, so we figured we could split something small. We ordered the Chocolate Créme Brûlée thinking we would each take about two bites and be done with it. Well, we finished it. And I may or may not have scraped the serving dish with my finger to get that last little bit of goodness. It was absolutely divine– The perfect end to a lovely meal!

Have any of you tried out this menu? What did you get? Any crab leg lovers out there that tried these? ha!

Thank y’all so much for stopping by today! I hope you’re having a fantastic week! Much, much love! XO!
