Whenever I hear the word layers, I think about Donkey and Shrek talking about them. Onions, cakes, parfaits, ogres… Those all have layers! And as Donkey says so famously, “Everybody love cake!” Which translates into, “Everybody love layers!”
Layers were my saving grace early last week when it was super cold, yet sunny! It was fuh-reezing in the morning and at night, yet could get somewhat warm in the middle of the day. Plus, I didn’t want to be wearing a heavy coat while sitting at my desk doing work! Enter: Layers.
Although the layers were kept to the top, I must rave about the new Spanx leggings I got for Christmas. I’ve had another pair for several years now and have loved them, so I knew I’d get some great wear out of another pair. And this new pair is faux leather, so that’s fun! They make me feel super pulled together, especially on days when I am so not pulled together!. They’re seriously the best!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We had so much fun celebrating my bro in law’s 30th birthday, getting a good bit of work done, and enjoing the nice springy weather outside (despite the fact that it’s January! I sure hope it gets cold again soon before staying hot. I LOVE layering, so give me some more cold! 😉 )
