Felt Christmas Confetti

We are up-sizing our Christmas Confetti this year using some felt circles that are “waste” from felt picture ornaments I make every year for Christmas gifts! I’ve been saving these leftover circles for years now, and I’m so happy to have found a fun new way to put them to use! This form of confetti will be one I can continue adding to year after year as the picture ornament tradition continues!

Christmas Confetti is a fun little poem that helps direct little minds, using all the colors of the season, back to the reason for the season! 🙂 We like it and I hope you do too 🙂

CHRISTMAS CONFETTI

White, and red, and shades of green.
To you, what do these colors mean?
To many, they’re just nice holiday hues.
But to us, they symbolize the happiest news!

White for the purest mama Mary.
White for the angel who told her she’d carry
A very special baby boy
Who would bring the world the brightest joy!
White is for sugar and snow in our dreams.
White’s for the sacredness Christmas brings!

Green for garland and green for new being!
For abiding in peace, for feeling the freeing
Hope of forever with that newborn king.
For the harmonious carols we love to sing!
The story of our evergreen Emmanuel…
A story we’ll never tire to tell!

Red for love and berries and bows.
Red for chilly noses and toes!
For warmth that swells in fireplaces and hearts.
Reminders of where this Christmas story starts!
Red for kisses, and kindness to strangers.
It all starts with the child in the manger!

I hope this confetti helps you remember
What it is we celebrate each December!
May your heart be merry and light and joyous
As we celebrate our savior being sent to earth for us!

There are printable versions of this poem in my Etsy shop if you’re interested in printing one out to read with your family! 🙂 Little bags of confetti with a little poem print out make great stocking stuffers. They also make cute little happies, with a bag of confetti made by your kids, to give to family, neighbors, and friends!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
