Floral, Mint, and Coral

I recently got to design a set of coordinating cards for a very sweet local photographer I’ve gotten to know lately! Her colors are in the coral + minty green family, which I love, so I was able to really have a lot of fun with her designs!

She wanted some birthday cards to send out to the wedding professionals she works with as their birthdays came up, as well as some cards to send with gift cards to ice cream joints thanking other vendors and clients for their business!

During a brainstorming meeting with this photographer, together we came up with the idea of me doing a watercolor bouquet in an ice cream cone, and doing a little calligraphy saying “take some time off to have a sweet treat on me!” Then we included her contact info and left some blank space for her to write personal messages.

I love how it all turned out!

Aren’t those colors together just yummy?! They actually make me think of ice cream! This photographer sure does have great taste!

Getting a little up close and personal with the watercolor design…

On the birthday cards, we decided that using black ink for my birthday stamps would’ve been a little too harsh (which is also why we went with more of a washed look on the calligraphy lettering on the flowery card as well!), so we opted for gold ink to use for the stamped designs. I am in LOVE with this gold ink!! Sadly it doesn’t photograph all that well, but in person, I’m telling you… It’s FINE!

Absolutely lovely! I like the ice cream cone “vase” & that bouquet is frameable.
