Lily Ryan’s Frozen Birthday Party

Frozen Birthday Party

My sweet baby girl and personality-filled middle child, Lily Ryan, turned four this month! She’s loving being “bigger” and “a lot older” now, and had a blast celebrating her sudden change into bigger and older with her friends and family! She, like most people her age, is obsessed with the movie Frozen, despite the fact that she had seen the movie just once when she settled in on this theme! But as our kids get older, we let them pick whatever kind of birthday party they want (as long as it’s appropriate, of course) and I go with it!

Disney is always a welcome challenge for me because I just don’t love the Disney-threw-up-on-an-isle-in-Party-City style, so I try to adapt into a less “Disney-esque” version of, in this case, Frozen, and see how it works out!

My go-to cake lady, Krista, did the blue and white ombre cake and I added the edible snowflakes (found here) to make it more themed! Local friends, Krista is the BOMB if you’re ever in need of a cake!

It ended up being a beautiful day outside, so we were able to set up the bouncy house and put out sidewalk chalk and let the party spill into the backyard! We had the movie playing in the living room, an ice cream station with several types of white/blue/purple toppings, a “pin the nose on Olaf” game that I made out of felt, and an indoor snowball fight! My parents gave Lily Ryan fake snowballs as a gift, and they were PERFECT paired with several yards of quilt batting I bought at Hobby Lobby to simulate indoor snow! I think the kids had a blast with it 🙂

// Lily Ryan was with me one day at Wal Mart and saw the Olaf brownie kit and got SO excited about it, so we had to do them for the party! //

The ice cream toppings consisted of…

// Frozen marshmallows // silver and gold sprinkles // gummy snowflakes // blue and purple sprinkles // blue rock candy // not pictured here but pictured later, white snowflake sprinkles // And of course cute sprinkle scoops were useful as well! These are the ones I got. //

The Frozen pez dispensers were a HUGE hit as the party favors! I can’t find any with the cardboard packaging, but found these with the plastic bag packaging! Same concept, you’d just have to display them slightly differently!

We love our local “glistery,” Galexie Glister founded by my friend Carlie! Body glitter created specifically for little girls with sensitive skin that doesn’t make a huge mess is absolutely PERFECT for any girly b-day party! We had Glow Getter and Fairy Walk for the Frozen theme!

I hope this is helpful for anyone who is working on planning a Frozen themed party but wants to take a slightly different approach! Lily Gal and her friends had fun playing and eating and bouncing, so it was a total success!

Thank you so much for stopping in today 🙂 Always means so much to me! And a belated happy birthday to my wild little angel girl who makes me laugh so hard and smile so big! So thankful for that little nut! 🙂

Have a lovely week! xo!
