We celebrated Lily Ryan’s 5th birthday party a few weeks ago with a fun little unicorn themed shindig!! Lil LOVES her some unicorns and the color pink, so that made my job of planning super fun!

Our venue was The Chapel at Livingston (I LOVE how open and light-filled it is!), the cake was by my sweet friend Krista and it was SO delicious in addition to being beautiful, the unicorn cake topper is sadly sold out from Target, and the balloon arch was a custom kit from Lushra. I LOVE Lushra’s balloon arches because they are completely customizable and very easy to put together if you have one of these balloon blower uppers!

She’s also super into hot cocoa right now, so we had a fun little hot cocoa bar with all different types of cocoa, several toppings, some marshmallows, and even some edible glitter called Prism Powder from Fancy Sprinkles!

Lily Ryan has also become known for her “goat scream,” which she tends to bust out at the funniest times, making everyone around her just die out laughing! She got the idea for goat screaming from Illumination’s The Grinch (click here and go to the 30 second mark for a better idea of the scream) SO we surprised Lily Ry with the appearance of some goats at her party!! She was THRILLED! The family that brought the goats was the sweetest family– they even put tutus on the goats! hah!

The goats were so much fun!

We also had so much fun with the unicorn piñata! I stuffed it with gummies, starbursts, tootsie roll pops, and assorted chocolate. As the kids were taking turns hitting the piñata, it kept sounding like they were hitting something metal! There was a very loud “tink” every time the bat hit the piñata… I was SO confused! I knew there wasn’t any metal in that thing!

After every kid hit it a few times and it still had not broken, Price took matters into his own hands and busted it after a few big hits.

Come to find out, that metal sound was the sound of the bat hitting the tootsie roll pops! When they fell out of the unicorn’s belly, they were powder! Pretty much all the suckers were completely ruined! haha SO, the lesson here is… Do NOT put suckers (or at least large suckers) in your piñatas! Bats break them into very small pieces!

Overall, we had such a great day celebrating our Lily Girl!! She and her little friends had a blast! And we grown ups had fun watching the kids have fun while sipping on some cocoa!

Here are a few more sweet pics from the day. And real quick, I’d like to give a HUGE thanks to photographer Rachel O’Neal for taking all of these great photos. She was SO easy to work with and I LOVE every shot she captured!! Rachel, you’re good, girl!
