I’ve been busy over the past several weeks working on some pretty fun invitations and other party goods! I have grown to absolutely love doing fun individual projects like this! It keeps the wheels turning, always giving me a new challenge!
Babies seem to be the main focus for all of these!
This was commissioned by a friend in New Orleans whose friends are having a little boy! My guidelines were, “pretty classic with a bit of a modern twist.” That made detailing fun!
This next invitation was “one in a minion!”
That was actually the theme of some friends of ours’ son’s first birthday party, which I thought was so unique and adorable! They wanted something miniony (obviously!) but with an artistic flair. I must say, this is the first minion I’ve ever watercolored but it was actually really fun!
Another fun commission was to make a cake topper for a gender reveal that said, “he or she?” in gold glitter! Thanks to Photoshop and Silhouette, this baby came together quite nicely!
As I was flipping though my “completed projects” folder to get these things out to take pictures of them, I ran across Wilson’s birth announcement and realized that I don’t think I ever shared it on here! Almost a year later… Here that is! ha!
Wow, I can’t believe so much time has flown by. I’m still so grateful to photographer Lauren Liddell for capturing these images of Wilson and us with him! They are such treasures to us! 🙂
