My sweet baby girl is officially three! We celebrated last weekend with a sunshine and rainbow party! The inspiration for this shindig’s theme came from two places: a super fun mixed media needlepoint rainbow from Earthologie that just totally spoke to me when I saw it on Instagram, and some custom yellow glitter by Galexie Glister!
// I’ve teamed up with my friend Carlie who started Galexie Glister and we can’t wait to tell you more about this yellow glitter in the next week or two… Stay tuned! //
We did use lots of this fun yellow glitter at the party, which added to the sunniness of the day! Lily Ryan’s tutu from Row 10 plus the glitter just made for the CUTEST birthday girl. She wore a sunshine shirt from this etsy shop during cake to protect her tutu and I LOVE how it turned out!
Our venue was The Chapel at Livingston, and they were a dream to work with. The space was beautiful and made for fantastic photos (all captured by Rachel Watters), but I think my favorite thing about the venue was their awesome sound system! I made a playlist with sunshiney songs and had it blastin while the kiddos bounced and colored (because Lily Ry loves her some coloring) and ate the yummiest cake from Charmed Cakes. Morgan, who does Charmed Cakes, did a beautiful job of creating a cake for this party (complete with edible glitter! Yes!)
Shout out to my sweet cousins Kathryn and Lucy for being the face painters! Two things I learned about face paint the day before the party: (1) Not just any paint can be used on faces… I was planning on just using acrylic paint for the face painting but apparently that is bad, and (2) Actual face paint is not readily available in the metro Jackson area. I went to Target, Michael’s, and Wal Mart with no success. Finally found some at Jo-Ann, but was not thrilled with the colors, but just got what I could find anyway… So if you want face painting at your party, I recommend ordering it ahead of time! These colors would have been so much brighter!

A few of my favorite party details not previously mentioned:
The most magical battery-operated fairy lights ever!
The MeriMeri sun plates.
The party favors, which were colored pencils and little note pads. I just made the sunny designs on my computer to spruce up the bags! I did purchase this clip art package from this etsy shop, which inspired a lot of the design.
The helium balloons were from Kroger.

We had the BEST celebrating our little sunshine, and she had a pretty great time, too! We love our sweet friends and family and loved getting share the celebrations with all of them.
HAPPY YEAR NUMBER THREE, LILY RYAN!
And happy Monday to you! 🙂 Thank so much for stopping by! XO!
