Supper at Brent’s

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you’ve had the best week this week! Thanks to those of you who came out to support this event last night. I always love seeing you lovely folks in person! 🙂

I mentioned in this post that Price and I got to enjoy a date night to Brent’s Drugs in Jackson the other night! We had the best time enjoying a casual meal together in such an iconic little place. I have the fondest memories of Brent’s growing up because my grandparents used to always take us to get lunch there on Saturdays with them. I always got a grilled cheese and a limeade. And guess what? Brent’s still has those simple classics (plus lots of others) still on their menu today! (View their full menu here.)

This place has always been a lunch place, but now they’ve opened back up for supper on a regular basis, which I think is just the BEST news!  (They also serve breakfast in case you are a first meal fan!) 😉

If you’re looking to step back in time for an hour, enjoy some doo-wop tunes, a great burger and shake (or some of their famous cheese soup), and some peppy service, then Brent’s is your place. It’s super casual and kid friendly so, although we went for a date night, kids would fit right on in!

For quick reference, their lunch and dinner hours are Mondays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. til 8:30 p.m.  You can grab breakfast Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. til 11 a.m., then on Saturdays from 8 a.m. til 5 p.m.! The Apothecary, their super cool bar hidden in the back, is open Tuesday – Saturday from 5 p.m. til 1 a.m. so it’s a great place to check out after you finish your din!

Price and I have both been talking about how we need to make it back soon with the kiddos just because it’s such an experience. I mean, this place has been open since 1946! That’s pretty awesome, right? They’ve steadily made small changes to keep up with the times and I think they’ve done an impeccable job. Can’t wait to go back and introduce my own babies to the goodness of a Brent’s grilled cheese and limeade! 😉

Ok y’all, as always, thank you SO much for stopping in today! It means the world! I hope you have a fantastic weekend. If you get hungry, go get you some Brent’s!!

Thank you to our friends at Brent’s for supporting this post. All opinions are my own!

I think you need to do a round up of like the best places to eat in the jackson metro are, best places to shop in the area, best things to do. Like something that someone not from here comes across and finds the ultimate to do list for the Jackson metro! Idk just a thought!

That’s a great idea! Let me be thinking on that! 😉

Yummmmm I love Brents. Charlie was in Jackson last week for a conference, and I named like 30 places I wanted him to bring me back food from. This looks so good!

All the Jackson restaurants miss Nikki so much! haha! Next time you’re down here, we totally need to do a progressive dinner and hit like 3 or 4 different spots all together!
